Sidmouth Arboretum Annual Celebration of Trees

After a gap of two years, the Sidmouth Arboretum’s annual Celebration of Trees will be making a return on 18th November.

This year’s theme will be “Trees and Biodiversity” and the event will be take place in the Cellar Bar of Kennaway House at 6.30pm on the evening of Friday 18th November. As before there will be a packed programme. Music and song will be provided by the Sid Vale Folk choir. There will be food a-plenty and drink at the cellar bar. Talks from leading local experts on trees and biodiversity, include Rosie Cotgreave of the Devon Wildlife Trust’s Saving Devon’s Treescapes project, Kate Tobin of the Sid Valley Biodiversity Group and John Wilding of Clinton Devon Estates. There will also be stalls showing the work of local craftspeople – as well as stalls showcasing the work of local groups involved in promoting trees and biodiversity.

We would like to invite you to share this celebration of trees, offering a real opportunity to mingle and network, to wander through the Cellar Bar looking at what the stalls have to offer, and to get to know what is going on tree and biodiversity-wise in the Sid Valley and East Devon.

We do hope you will be able to join us next Friday – and we look forward to seeing you at what should be an informative and entertaining Celebration of Trees.
