Let’s Talk Teenagers

Let’s Talk Teenagers is a project offering free sessions to parents, carers and family members about the needs and challenges that teens face.

The project aims to empower parents, guardians and grandparents to support their teenager through the challenges they are being faced with every day.

There will be three 90 minutes twilight Microsoft Teams sessions on consecutive weeks throughout March, which will give parents tips on how to support and talk to their teenager about issues such as healthy relationships, substance misuse, exploitation and safety online.

Intervention at the earliest stages by family and carers can be positive for the whole family and prevent things escalating or becoming harmful. Parenting and supporting teenagers is really tough, and the sessions not only raise the awareness of those challenges, but also give positive guidance about how to help.

The project is being funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Safer Devon Partnership, South Devon and Dartmoor CSP and Teignbridge Council for voluntary Service.
