The club was founded in the summer of 2009 to encourage the amateur sport of Pilot Gig rowing, serving Sidmouth and the surrounding area. During the summer months rowing is from Sidmouth beach on Wednesday and Friday evenings and Sunday mornings. In the winter, rowing is on Sunday mornings.
