Youth at Sidmouth

Sidmouth Town Council is committed to supporting young people and ensuring the Sid Valley remains a great place to grow up. We do this by providing youth services and supporting mental health and wellbeing support for young people and their families. The Town Council also acts as a central information point for activities and events happening across the Sid Valley, including those designed for young people.

The Sid Valley offers a wide range of opportunities for young people, but it can sometimes be challenging to find out what’s available. That’s why Sidmouth Town Council – in partnership with local schools and activity providers has launched a new initiative to help young people discover the many clubs, groups, and activities in the area.

At the heart of this initiative is the youth@sidmouth directory, a guide that signposts young people to local activities, events, and clubs, making it easier than ever to find something that matches their interests. Whether it’s sport, art, music, or community projects, the directory offers clear guidance on what’s available and how to get involved.

For those who may need financial support to take part in an activity, the Town Council is also introducing the Get Involved Grant scheme, which helps individual young people with costs such as membership fees or equipment. By working together, Sidmouth Town Council, local schools, and community organisations are committed to making sure every young person has the chance to develop new skills, build friendships, and discover passions that will last a lifetime.
