The Sid Vale Association promotes conservation and heritage, the Sidmouth Museum, and facilities for recreational and cultural activities in the Sid Valley.
Founded in 1846 to ‘conserve the charm and attractiveness of Sidmouth and the Sid Valley’ it is the oldest civic society in Britain. Environmental volunteer groups meet on Monday mornings to look after the Nature Reserves on the Byes every week & the Knapp every other week.
