All Saints Church and Hall is the venue for geological talks and activities during Super Science Saturday. In the church hall you will find a range of family activities including fossil specimens, interactive games and microscope displays of rock samples. Experts will be on hand for questions, explanations and demonstrations.

Five geology-themed talks will take place in the church during the day. These are:

11:00. Dr Roger Trend. Lanzarote’s geothermal energy: its geological origins and possibilities for electricity generation. More details >>

13:00 Dr Richard Stockey, Southampton University, Phanerozoic oceans in 3D – what palaeontologists can learn from climate models. More details >>

14:00 Dr Kieran Satchell, Lyme Regis Museum. The Pliosaur from Dorset.

15:00 Dr Alan Smith, Royal Geographical Society.

No pre-booking is required. All events are free of charge though donations are encouraged.
