An update on the Elections for the Three Wards being re-run after the scheduled Local Government Elections on 4 May –
In the East Ward, two candidates put their names forward for the single vacancy. There will therefore be an election and the Statement of Persons Nominated is attached.
In the Sidford Ward, two candidates put their names forwards for the two vacancies and are therefore elected uncontested. (Notice attached)
In the West Ward, there were no candidates for the single vacancy. Therefore a new election will be held within 35 days of 22 June 2023. (Notice attached)
