Bank Holiday Fireworks announced but Airshow volunteers still needed to enable event to continue.

Sidmouth Town Council have confirmed that 2021 will see the return of the Grand Fireworks Display, this year at 9.30pm on Saturday 28th August over the sea, viewed from the esplanade and is being generously supported by David Rowland’s Funfair.
The Fireworks display follows a week of fun leading up to the Summer Bank Holiday with the Funfair operating on the Ham from Wednesday 25th August until Saturday. On Friday 27th August at 5.30pm there is the annual Sidmouth Air Show, starting at 5.30pm featuring aircraft such as the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Dakota, Royal Navy Wildcat and culminating in the Red Arrows. With the Firework Display rounding out Saturday evening, this bank holiday is promising to be full of fun and spectacle in Sidmouth.
However, the 2021 Air Show and visit from the Red Arrows could be the last unless enough collectors volunteer to help. So it’s vital that Official Collectors are recruited to assist in gathering donations from the public across the seafront, Salcombe and Peak Hills and Connaught Gardens. If you are able to offer your help, please register by contacting Sidmouth Town Council at towncouncil@sidmouth.gov.uk Volunteers are needed from 4pm until 7.30pm and the organising team will then be back in touch with locations and contact details for the day.
