New Youth Hub Directory Launches

Sidmouth Town Council is committed to supporting young people and ensuring that the Sid Valley is a great place to grow up.

We do this by providing youth services and funding some mental health and wellbeing support for young people and their families. The Town Council also acts as an information point for activities and events taking place in the Sid Valley, including those involving young people. We are lucky that the Sid Valley offers a great range of things to do for young people of all ages, but it can sometimes be difficult to find out exactly what is going on. That’s why Sidmouth Town Council, in partnership with local schools and activity providers, has introduced a new initiative to help young people to access the wide range of clubs and activities available in the local area. At the heart of this initiative is the Sidmouth Youth Hub, a directory that signposts young people to clubs, events, and activities, making it easier than ever to find activities that match their interests.

Whether it’s sports, arts, music, or community projects and events, the directory provides clear guidance on what’s on offer and how to get involved. For young people who may need financial help to access a particular activity, the Town Council is also launching the Get Involved Grant scheme, helping individual young people with costs such as membership fees and equipment. By working together, Sidmouth Town Council, local schools, and community activity providers are committed to making sure every young person has the opportunity to develop new skills, build friendships, and discover passions to last a lifetime.
