Sidmouth Town Council has confirmed the line-up for the hugely popular Sidmouth Regatta Airshow which returns this year on Friday 22 August 2025 as part of the Sidmouth Regatta Weekend.
The 2025 Regatta Airshow line-up has something for everyone and this year, the late afternoon show starts at around 4.30pm with a display by Sidmouth Lifeboat who will perform a number of capability demonstrations in their Arctic 24 Lifeboat and backup Sea Rider RIB. It is also hoped that, subject to operational availability, Exmouth Lifeboat will be in attendance.
Commencing the flying displays and with a return to Sidmouth, is Rich Goodwin in his Pitts Biplane. However there is a twist for Sidmouth audiences, as Rich and his team have strapped on two ATM Lynx Jet turbines to the aircraft delivering 700lbs thrust and in combination with the ‘standard’ 8.5 litre Lycoming engine, this makes for an even more exciting and versatile performer.
Next up will be a first-time attendance at Sidmouth by the AeroSuperbatics Wing Walkers Duo team. The two beautiful 1940’s Boeing Stearman biplanes will perform some breathtaking acrobatics and all while their professional wingwalkers are strapped to the top wings, as the pilots fly through a choreographed and energetic routine of dazzling aerobatics and close formation flypasts.

Creating a fitting finale to the Airshow for 2025 will be the return of the ever popular RAF Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows who are sure to delight crowds with their perfectly synchronised flying and manoeuvrers.
In order to keep the Airshow viable, Volunteer Collectors are needed from 4pm across the seafront, Salcombe and Peak Hills and Connaught Gardens where donations will be taken through buckets and contactless payment. They are a vital part of the Airshow team. Without them and donations from the public, the event could not take place. Sidmouth Airshow is shaping up to be highlight of the year and is a fitting start to the Sidmouth Regatta Weekend which takes place from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August and includes Sailing races, Gig racing, surf life saving and the return of the Raft Race with a Grand Musical Firework Display on the Saturday evening. Specific event details will be publicised shortly.
The Airshow takes take place off the seafront on Friday 22 August from approximately 4.30pm subject to weather and operation availability of the teams involved. In addition to the many usual Council car parks, extra parking will be provided and signed on the day and the usual water safety zone will be enforced to enable watercraft to view from a safe distance.
