At the meeting of Sidmouth Town Council on 1 February 2016 it was resolved that the Council would support the Sidmouth Fairtrade steering group in its endeavor to register Sidmouth as a Fairtrade town. Sidmouth Town Council would directly support the Fairtrade scheme by offering Fairtrade tea and coffee in meetings and implementing Fairtrade principles in purchasing policies where possible.
