Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce September Seminar

Starts
5:30 pm 8 September 2025
Ends
7:00 pm 8 September 2025

Representatives from the Devon and Cornwall Police Crime Prevention Tactical Advisor Group and the local Sidmouth PCSO Jane Starkey, will talk about a new initiative to support local businesses around retail crime.

There’s been a rise in reported shoplifting in town, especially noted in the Retailers WhatsApp group, and this session is designed to give practical advice on:

  • What to do if something happens in your shop or premises
  • How and when to report it
  • Simple steps to help protect your business

The talk starts at 6.00pm, doors open at 5.30pm so you can have an opportunity to network and have a drink.

Why come along?

  • It’s completely free to attend
  • Chamber members get a free drink
  • You’ll get to meet local business owners
  • It’s a great opportunity to speak informally with members of the Chamber committee and share your views on what matters to your business

This is a relaxed event with no pitches or pressure. Just useful conversations, helpful insights, and a good reason to connect with others doing business locally.
