The procession will start at Woolbrook, go down through the town, across the seafront and up Station Road
From 4pm until 7:30pm there will be no access onto Woolbrook road between Ice House Lane and Balfours.
From 7:30pm onwards the road from Balfours down to and including The Esplanade will be closed to allow the procession to pass through the streets.
Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times but during the procession it may take longer to reach people especially if the procession is in a narrow area of town which may make it difficult for emergency services to get past.
The carnival committee will be working with Devon and Cornwall 4×4 Response team who will provide marshalling cover at main points of closure. Devon and Cornwall 4×4 Response often work alongside other emergency services therefore know how to deal with getting them access if and when required swiftly.
