A hands-on workshop, including a practical session in the community orchard (weather permitting).
After an informative talk covering the core principles of Formative Pruning of Apples & Pears.
Some practical demos and activities to bed down that knowledge. Gather ’round some actual trees, with a friendly adept and discuss how the tree is growing, how we’d ideally like it to grow and how best to encourage that outcome. The long term productivity of our community orchard being the goal.
