Sidmouth Arboretum was launched in May 2010 in order to create a civic arboretum, which covers all the land both public and private within the jurisdiction of Sidmouth Town Council. An arboretum is a collection of woody plants, which are trees and shrubs. A civic arboretum on this scale is a unique concept.
