Sid Vale Folk are a mixed choir of about forty souls which was founded by Sue King in September 2008

Songs are a mixture of traditional and contemporary songs, loosely described as “folk”.

We meet on Thursday evenings from 7.30 pm to 9 pm throughout the year (we usually have a short break during school holidays). The venue is the dance studio in Dissenter of Sidmouth (on the corner opposite Tesco). Members pay £2.50 for each session they attend.

New members are welcome. There is no audition to join although recruits are expected to be able to hold a basic tune. We generally sing unaccompanied. Members print their own copies from the website or down-load onto their own hand-held electronic devices.

The choir support one or two local charities each year and other good causes as the need arises.
