Mental Health Swims

Mental Health Swims is a national, not for profit social enterprise which was created in September 2019 by the founder of Mental Health Swims, Rachel Ashe.

We co-host year-round dips from the beach approximately every 2 weeks, depending on tide, weather and pollution levels.

Attendees sign up via the event link, Mental Health Swims: Sidmouth – Group Page (more-human.co.uk), so that we can provide attendees with all safety information and communicate with participants prior to a meet up should we need to change location or cancel.  We welcome anyone who may just turn up on the day too.

Any donations received are given voluntarily and go directly to Mental Health Swims HQ who provide insurance and training for around 200+ hosts across the UK.

In the winter months we meet opposite The Belmont Hotel on the beach.  Once the SLSGB group starts up again in the Spring, we meet opposite The Fort Cafe on the beach.

On our event page for every single meet up, we include the what 3 words location, we describe our location and we wave a ‘pink pirate’ flag so that anyone can easily spot us.  Anyone who has a query can contact us via the email – mhssidmouth@outlook.com. Anyone can also contact us via the link to the events’ webpage – Mental Health Swims Sidmouth
