Bird Flu

Devon has seen a recent increase in the number of birds, of different breeds, with bird flu, and the current guidance is to not touch dead or visibly sick birds (or allow dogs near them). If you are out and about, any additional support in sharing the message with passers-by and anyone you see going near sick or dead birds, would be much appreciated.

You can make a report on the East Devon District Council website here: Report a dead animal – Animal details

Any reports of sick or dead birds are dealt with quickly, and often on the same day. The EDDC team are fully trained and equipped with the correct PPE to deal with suspected cases of bird flu.
