Formed in 2008, Saxminster are a community group of saxophone players. Playing a variety of styles from classical to jazz and pop – and everything in between, under the guidance of musical director Alison Davies.
Guitarist/singer Will Edmunds is a mainstay of the South West music scene, working over the years with some of Bristol’s finest including Moscow Drug Club, Elles Bailey and The Carny Villains.
Guitarist and singer Jake Loosemore was recently nominated as Young Artist of the Year by the U.K. Blues Federation, Jake has toured with international artists such as Andy Timmons, Mick Taylor & Helena May, and last year supported Status Quo with Toby Lee on what was supposedly their last ever show…
A freewheeling instrumental four piece; Starlings weave soulful melody and dynamic improvisation around their powerhouse Funk, Latin and dance grooves.
AGALMA is a genre-blurring collective carving out a sound that fuses jazz sophistication with deep-pocket funk, classic soul warmth, and the rhythmic edge of hip hop.
The Sound of the Streets marching band will be performing on the Love Local Stage after they have performed in the streets of Sidmouth earlier in the day on Monday 25 May.
