A talk “Aerial archaeological survey and excavation; getting down to earth in East Devon” to be given by Bill Horner, Devon County Archaeologist.
Over the past 70 years, many thousands of archaeological sites have been discovered in Devon through the increasing use of aerial survey. Many of these sites have since become the subject of excavation or other forms of research on the ground. In his talk, Bill Horner will use a variety of examples of sites in East Devon, from prehistory to the modern age, to explain the progress in this field and the exciting discoveries that are being made.
